Foreword
Nov. 19, 2009
The production team of the Operation Franchise magazine would like to welcome you to the online version.
Just like our magazine, the goal of the Operation Franchise Web site is to provide you, our American veterans and service members, with information regarding selecting, buying, financing, owning, and running franchises on your desktop.
We will present the latest franchise news items and stories, helpful resources, commentary, and so much more. You’ll also find smart ways to research your business purchase, as well as content to consider when speaking with franchisors, legal professionals, and other franchisees.
Operating a franchise involves an understanding of local trends, local market needs, and receipt of the goods and services offered by the franchise. And that primarily is on the sale side of the equation. To be successful as a franchise owner, you need to understand things like financial management, human resources issues for employees, and marketing concepts.
We hope to be a resource far beyond the purchase of the franchise, but also well into the life of the franchise and maybe into the purchase of additional units of this chain and your expansion into the next franchise chain you might want to pursue.
We have brought together experienced writers who write about the military as well as franchising, economics, and business. We hope that we accomplish the goal of being a comprehensive source for the veteran community as you consider the prospect of buying a franchise and running a business.
Being a veteran, it has been a pleasure working on this Web site, and the Operation Franchise magazine, to help you reach – and sustain – your success.
Of course, we welcome both your feedback about the Operation Franchise Web site and your ideas of topics and issues that you would like to see covered.
The Operation Franchise Web site is a pioneering franchising resource for all veterans and military members. Bookmark operationfranchise.com today and refer to it frequently; we will be updating the content with you, our readers, in mind.
Sincerely,
Rhonda Carpenter
